SUMMARY:Digital Health Paper Development Workshop (DH-PDW) @ WI 2026
DESCRIPTION:Theme: Next-Level Digital Health Research\n\n \n\nAbout the wor
kshop \n\nThe “Digital Health Paper Development Workshop” (DH-PDW) takes pl
ace for the second time as a pre-conference activity at the Internationale
Tagung Wirtschaftsinformatik (WI) 2026 in Linz.  \n\nThe workshop provides
a forum for researchers working on issues related to information technology
in the context of healthcare. We welcome extended abstracts describing bot
h research-in-progress and completed research on a broad range of topics an
d methodologies. We especially invite junior and mid-level researchers to s
ubmit their work and obtain early feedback.  \n\nThe main purpose of the wo
rkshop is to help authors develop their work for submission to a major conf
erence or a journal. Please note that the papers do not have to fit the the
me, just relate to the theme of digital health and health information techn
ology in general. \n\nThe workshop takes place in conjunction with the annu
al meeting of the Special Interest Group Digital Health of the German Infor
matics Society (Fachgruppe Digital Health, FG-DH). Authors do not have to b
 e FG-DH members to participate.  \n\n\n\nPublication options \n\nContributi
ons accepted to the workshop will not be included in conference proceedings
. Authors retain the full copyrights to their work.  \n\nFast-track option:
Promising contributions will be invited for submission and fast-track hand
ling at the Digital Business Management and Digital Leadership department o
f BISE Journal. \n\n\n\nLayout of the workshop \n\nThe workshop is restrict
ed to 6-8 author teams. All submitted work will be evaluated by the co-chai
rs and notified regarding acceptance at the workshop.  \n\nAll accepted con
tributions will then be presented and discussed during roundtable discussio
ns to provide authors with help, feedback, suggestions, and to facilitate f
uture collaborations.  \n\nThe interactive format of the workshop is geared
towards providing a high degree of feedback to authors with promising earl
y-stage work, but is certainly open to developed and completed research as
well.  \n\nThe workshop will be co-located with the annual meeting of the F
G-DH. The final part of the session (12:00-13:00) will likely be in a hybri
d format, involving members online.  \n\n\n\nRegistration \n\nThe registrat
ion to the workshop is free.  \n\nWorkshop participants need to register fo
r the workshop through the WI 2026 website as a pre-conference activity. \n
\nAt least one author needs to be present at the workshop. However, partici
pation of multiple authors is greatly encouraged to better gather the feedb
ack and participate in offering feedback to others.   \n\n\n\nSubmission in
structions \n\nAlthough the workshop invites research in all stages, includ
ing early-stage, research-in-progress and completed research, all submissio
ns should take the form of Extended Abstracts of no more than 2 pages. \n\n
Extended abstracts can be written in English or German. Only one paper per
first author will be accepted. \n\nThere are no specific formatting guideli
nes. However, you may refer to the instructions of the main conference page
