 ervation Method By Activity Timing (WOMBAT), a research tool developed at t
 he Australian Institute of Health Innovation (AIHI) to study clinical work 
 in real-world settings. It will cover the origins and methodology of WOMBAT
 , its applications in evaluating digital health technologies, and impacts o
 n clinical workflows, communication, and patient care. The presentation als
 o highlights AIHI’s broader contributions to health systems research and in
 novation.\n\nPresenter\n\nDr Mirela Prgomet is a Senior Research Fellow at 
 the Centre for Health Systems and Safety Research, Australian Institute of 
 Health Innovation (AIHI), Macquarie University. Her research focuses on eva
 luating the impact of digital health technologies on clinical workflows, co
 mmunication, and patient safety, with a particular emphasis on improving th
 e quality and efficiency of healthcare delivery. Mirela is an international
  expert on the Work Observation Method By Activity Timing (WOMBAT) techniqu
 e and tool. She has been instrumental in advancing the development of WOMBA
 T and its application across diverse healthcare settings, contributing to h
 igh-impact studies that examine how digital innovations and policy changes 
 influence clinical practice.\n\nModerator\n\nProf. Dr. Heiko Gewald is co-s
 pokesperson for the Digital Health Specialist Group of the German Informati
 cs Society. He is a research professor for information management at Neu-Ul
 m University of Applied Sciences and director of the Institute for Digital 
 Innovation. His particular research interest lies in how the ageing generat
