Beschreibung
Organized by: Fachgruppe Digital Health of the German Informatics Society (GI e.V.) in collaboration with AIS SIGHealth
Date/Time: Sunday, September 14, 2025, Münster, 1pm-5pm local time
Theme: Next-Level Digital Health Research
About the workshop
The “Digital Health Paper Development Workshop” (DH-PDW) is a new pre-conference activity at the 20th Internationale Tagung Wirtschaftsinformatik (WI) 2025 in Münster.
The workshop provides a forum for researchers working on issues related to information technology in the context of healthcare. We welcome both research-in-progress and completed research on a broad range of topics and methodologies. We especially invite junior and mid-level researchers submit their work to obtain early feedback. The main purpose of the workshop is to help authors develop their work for submission to a major conference or a journal. Please note that the papers do not have to fit the theme, just relate to the theme of digital health and health information technology in general.
The workshop takes place in conjunction with the annual meeting of the Special Interest Group Digital Health of the German Informatics Society (Fachgruppe Digital Health, FG-DH). The event is affiliated with AIS SIGHealth, a Special Interest Group of the Association for Information Systems. Authors do not have to be FG-DH or AIS members to participate.
Publication options
Papers accepted to the workshop will not be included in conference proceedings so that authors retain all copyrights to their work. However, accepted papers may be listed with author names, affiliations, title, and brief abstract on the FG-DH website.
Fast-track option: Promising papers will be invited for fast-track handling at the Digital Business Management and Digital Leadership department of BISE Journal (Business & Information Systems Engineering).
Layout of the workshop
The workshop is restricted to 8 author teams and will include multiple pitch presentations and roundtable discussions. All submitted work will be reviewed by the co-chairs and a panel of experienced researchers. All accepted papers will then be presented and discussed during roundtable discussions to provide authors with help, feedback, suggestions, and to facilitate future collaborations. The interactive format of the workshop is geared towards providing a high degree of feedback to authors with promising early-stage work, but is certainly open to developed and completed research as well.
The workshop will be co-located with the annual meeting of the FG-DH. The first part of the session will likely be in a hybrid format, involving members online.
Registration
The registration to the workshop is free.
Workshop participants need to register for the workshop through the WI 2025 website as a pre-conference activity.
At least one author needs to be present at the workshop. However, participation of all authors is encouraged to better gather the feedback.
Submission instructions
Papers must be written in English and need to contain original research. Only one paper per first author will be accepted.
Although the workshop invites research in all stages, including research-in-progress and completed research, all submissions should take the form of short papers of no more than 6 pages (including title, abstract, appendices; excluding bibliography).
For formatting guidelines, please refer to the instructions of the main conference page:
https://www.wi2025.de/submission-guidelines-2/
Manuscripts which fail to comply with the formatting requirements will likely be rejected. Do not send full length papers. This workshop is designed to give authors of papers at many stages of development timely feedback. Therefore, authors need to adhere to the format guidelines to facilitate a timely review process.
Your submission needs to contain an abstract of no more than 150 words.
To submit a paper:
Please use the main conference review system ConfTool (comming soon)
Submit to the track “Digital Health Paper Development Workshop (DH-PDW)”
Please note: By submitting, the author team agrees to perform two reviews of other papers submitted to the workshop. These reviews are meant to be constructive peer feedback, they will not serve as basis for the decision whether to accept a submission. This is done to ensure optimally prepared discussions amongst workshop participants.
